Sporting activities 2015-16
So far this academic year we as a school have taken part in the following sporting activities:
We currently have a golf team who we are taking to Humberstone Heights golf course and are competing in a tri-golf competition against 7 other local schools. The children are really enjoying taking part and are receiving specialised coaching along with competing.
Year 3/4 Bisi health and well-being festival at Crown Hills Community College - 30 children took part in the all day activity.
Year 5/6 festival at Crown Hills Community College - 30 children took part in the all day activity.
Year 5/6 boys 5 a side football tournament - 10 boys from year 5/6 took part in a mini football tournament at Crown Hills Community College in October.
Year 5/6 girls 5 a side football at Goals- 8 girls from year 5/6 took part in a mini football tournament against other schools in November, we are entering another team in March.
Year 5/6 girls HI5 netball tournament - 10 girls from year 5/6 took part in a HI5 netball tournament at Crown Hills against other schools in November.
Year 6 boys football team
Sadly we finished 3rd in the league so didn't qualify for the finals this year, missing out by 4 points. It was a valiant effort though and the children played some exceptionally good football which was praised by the Football Academy coaches, as was their sporting attitude.
Health and Well-being week 8th - 12th June 2015.
This week children in yr's 1 to 6 will be taking part in lots of sporting activities. And learning about the importance of being healthy and how they can take care of their bodies.
We have had a morning 'wake up, shake up' session for keystage 1 and 2.
